Meet our seniors:
While Sensei Jason is the main instructor in our club, all of our senior students will step in when required to either cover a class or to work with an individual or small group to give more focused instruction.
They can be a great source of knowledge and support (and in our dojo they are often the source of most of the banter)

Petra Roe (Pet) 3rd Dan
I started training in 2004 at the HTKA where I met many of our current seniors. I helped Sensei Jason establish the Eastleigh Dojo when it opened in 2013 and I am the current secretary of the EGKA.
Favourite part of training: Kakie.
Least favourite part of training: Up and down the mountain (you'll see!)
Best karate moment so far: Hearing 'Petra Roe: San-Dan' from Nakamura Sensei at the sayonara party of the 2018 European Gasshuku in London.
Karate has had such a positive influence on my life. It has taken me to countries that I would have never visited, and introduced me to people that I may never had met; many of whom I think of as family now.
Karate has helped me develop a confidence and inner strength that has been invaluable both inside and outside of the dojo.

Kim Goodfield 1st Dan
Favourite part of training: If I had to choose then Kumite and pad work
Least favourite part of training: Disrespect and laziness in the dojo
Best karate moment so far: There are too many to choose from but training at the 2019 Gishiki is a major highlight
I started training at Eastleigh Dojo in 2014 and am proud to be part of a hardworking, banter filled and respectful dojo. Karate, and every opportunity it provides, has helped me build confidence as well as mental and physical strength, which I use in every aspect of my life.
